With guidance from real Fashion Designers, students will have the choice to be taught how to produce either a beautiful  SUMMER  PLAYSUIT or HAWAIIAN SHIRT.
No previous sewing experience required, Boys and Girls welcome!


INSPIRATION:  P O P   A R T 

Pop art is an art movement that emerged in the United Kingdom and the United States during the mid- to late-1950s.
The movement presented a challenge to traditions of fine art by including imagery from popular and mass culture,
such as advertising, comic books and mundane cultural objects.

What’s needed:

Fabric choice:

FOR THE PLAYSUIT :
Cotton Poplin. Canvas, muslin or any other non-see through woven fabric (Non-stretch)

From ages 7 yrs to 12 yrs = 1.5 meters of fabric (width : 150cm)

From ages 12 up, or for children that may be an adult size = 2 meters of fabric.

Satin Ribbon to use as shoulder straps
Elastic tape for the waist and over-the-shoulder Ruffles
Thread

Optional: A contrast fabric / print for a Bardot-style Ruffle panel, Embellishments, Trimmings or Patches



FOR THE HAWAIIAN SHIRT :

Cotton Poplin. Canvas, muslin or any other non-see through woven fabric (Non-stretch)

From ages 7 yrs to 12 yrs = 1 meter of fabric (width : 150cm)

From ages 12 up, or for children that may be an adult size = 1.5 meters of fabric.

Interfacing to stiffen the cuffs and collar
Thread

Optional: A contrast fabric / print for the pockets or collar, Embellishments, Trimmings or Patches

Fashion Design Summer Camp 2024

OPEN FOR BOOKING!!

Another sizzling hot summer is coming our way, are you ready for Project Fashion summer camp 2024?

The camp focuses on the process of Fashion Design, from creative thinking, fashion illustration, sewing machine training and garment construction.

Our students will be learning new techniques to upskill themselves, gently guided by our industry designers, all the while, being encouraged to think outside the box.

During this camp, students will be taught valuable life skills and hopefully instill some confidence and independence along the way.

Each student needs to bring fabric and thread for their own garment. Fabric will  be available from our online shop. Checklist will be available soon and be emailed to parents. 

And then for the grand finale! All the learners will be able to proudly showcase their work on the final day in front of their parents and guests in a thrilling fashion show!
