Time-saving Materials Kit to sew a Hawaiian Shirt, following Project Fashion’s Summer Camp patterns.

Fabric chosen will cover the Shirt design with enough for small accessories.

Here are details of materials needed:

Fabric width: 150 cm:

Fabric (printed woven cotton for example)

Student age 08 – 10 yrs 10 – 12 yrs 12 – 14 yrs 14 – 16 yrs
Shirt fabric length 1 Metre 1 Metre 1.5 Metres 1.5 Metres
Interfacing 0.5 Metres 0.5 Metres 0.5 Metres 0.5 Metres

Materials needed:
  • Fabric of your choice -Please use the size guide above for recommended metres.
  • The collar, collar stand, cuffs and button stand requires an interfacing for reinforcement.
  • 6 buttons or snaps (or more=select your desire quantity)
  • Thread (1000m per spool).
    • Optional decorations (patches) and trims

PROJECT FASHION WILL SUPPLY THE TOOLS & EQUIPMENT FOR THIS CAMP. You will not need a sewing machine, however students are very welcome to bring their own machine to camp. We recommend they use their own tools/scissors/pins, etc… if they have, so they’re exclusive to them.

Description

Ideal solution for students attending Project Fashion’s summer camp, this kit will bring you peace of mind, as all fabrics and accessories should cover your child’s needs, including fastening and decoration items.

PROJECT FASHION WILL PROVIDE TOOLS & SEWING MACHINES.

The materials indicated in below list should cover your consumption for the Shirt+ a little extra leftover to accessorize for the show.

The classic Hawaiian Shirt is versatile, suitable for casual of formal wear. Shirts are adaptable, easily styled with shorts or a pair of jeans and a blazer.
This shirt is loose-fitting on the waist, has a collar, cuffs which can be elasticated and embellished with a trim or plain with double fold.
A good quality cotton poplin is a standard choice of fabric to make this shirt, denim, woven cotton and tartan flannel is also ideal.
At least 6 buttons or snaps are recommended for the front opening.

The fabrics – and other trims – yardage calculation is estimated as a recommended average consumption.
