The shirt is loose-fitting on the waist with a peter pan collar. The cuffs could be elasticated and can be embellished with a trim or plain with double fold. A good quality cotton poplin is a standard choice of fabric to make this shirt, denim, woven cotton and tartan flannel is also ideal. At least 6 buttons or snaps are recommended for the front opening.
