Returns and Refunds Policy
This policy outlines our strict conditions for accepting returns and issuing refunds. Please read carefully before purchasing. By completing a purchase on projectfashion.ie, you agree to these terms.
1. Customer Financial Liabilities for Returns
If you choose to return an item, you assume full financial responsibility for the following:
-
Return Shipping Costs: You must pay all return postage costs. We do not provide return labels.
-
Transit Risk: You are entirely responsible for the goods until they physically reach our facility. If your return is lost, delayed, or damaged in transit, we will not issue a refund. We strongly advise you to use a tracked and insured service.
-
Outbound Shipping Deductions: If you paid for expedited, express, or premium delivery on your original order, we will only refund the cost of our standard, cheapest delivery option. The premium difference will not be refunded.
2. Strict Condition of Goods & Diminished Value
You are legally liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling of the goods beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics, and functioning.
-
Items must be returned in their exact original, unwashed, and unworn condition, with all tags and hygiene seals perfectly intact.
-
Handling Penalties: If you handle the product beyond what would reasonably be allowed in a physical retail store, we reserve the right to deduct money from your refund up to the full price of the item.
-
If an item is returned damaged, smelling of smoke/perfume, or missing original packaging, it will be deemed unsellable and your refund will be reduced or denied entirely.
3. Strict Return Packaging Rules
-
Outer Packaging Required: The product’s original branded box or packaging is considered part of the product. You must place the product and its branded box inside a separate, outer shipping box or mailing bag before returning it.
-
No Labels on Product Boxes: If you tape, write on, or stick postage labels directly onto the product’s original branded box (e.g., sticking a return label directly on a shoebox), the item will be considered damaged and unsellable. Under our Diminished Value rights, your refund will be strictly denied, and the item will only be sent back to you at your own expense.
4. Incorrect Delivery Details & Customer Error
It is your sole responsibility to ensure that all shipping information is entered perfectly accurately at checkout.
-
No Refunds for Customer Error: We operate an automated dispatch system. If you provide an incorrect address, a wrong Eircode, a misspelled street name, or omit crucial details, and your parcel is consequently lost, delayed, or delivered to the wrong location, you are not entitled to a refund or a free replacement.
-
Failed Deliveries: If a parcel is returned to us by the courier due to an “insufficient address,” “unknown at this address,” or similar reason caused by your error at checkout, we will not refund your original shipping charges.
-
Reshipping Costs: If a parcel is returned to us due to your error and you wish for it to be dispatched again, you will be strictly required to pay a new shipping fee before the item is released.
5. Refused Deliveries & Uncollected Parcels
-
Refusing Delivery: Refusing to accept a delivery from the courier does not constitute a legally valid cancellation of your order. If you refuse a parcel, or if a parcel is returned to us because you failed to collect it from a depot or post office within the courier’s specified timeframe, we incur penalty return shipping fees from the courier.
-
Cost Deductions: In the event of an uncollected or refused parcel, we will deduct all return shipping charges, courier penalty fees, and administrative costs from any refund eventually issued to you. If these return fees exceed the value of the product, no refund will be issued.
6. Promotional Bundles & Free Gifts
-
All or Nothing Returns: If you purchased items as part of a promotional bundle (e.g., “Buy 2 Get 1 Free”), the entire bundle must be returned to receive a full refund.
-
Partial Bundle Returns: If you return only part of a bundle, the items you keep will be recalculated at their full, un-discounted retail price, and this amount will be deducted from your refund.
-
Free Gifts: If your order included a free promotional gift based on a spend threshold, and your return drops your total order value below that threshold, the free gift must also be returned in unused condition. If not returned, its standard retail value will be deducted from your refund.
7. Non-Returnable Items & B2B Sales
-
Non-Returnable Items: For health, hygiene, and customized reasons, the following items are strictly non-refundable once the order is placed or the seal is broken: Such as fabrics.
-
Business-to-Business (B2B) Purchases: The 14-day statutory right to cancel applies strictly to consumers (B2C). If you purchase from us on behalf of a business, company, or use a registered business name/tax ID at checkout, the transaction is considered a B2B sale. B2B purchases are exempt from the Consumer Rights Act 2022 cooling-off period. All B2B sales are final. Any requests for returns or exchanges for B2B orders will be analyzed individually and are entirely at our discretion.
8. Statutory Right to Cancel (Strict 14-Day Limit)
Under EU law, you have 14 days to cancel your order. This period begins the day you receive the goods. We strictly enforce this timeline.
-
If you notify us on day 15 or later, your right to cancel has expired, and your return will be legally rejected.
-
To initiate a return, you must email us at info@projectfashion.ie within the 14-day window. We do not accept returns initiated via social media or unauthorized channels.
-
Once you have notified us of your cancellation within the 14-day window, you have exactly 14 days to ensure the physical item is delivered back to us. Returns arriving outside this window may be rejected.
-
Upon receipt, all items undergo a strict inspection. If the return passes inspection, we will process your refund to the original payment method. Please allow up to 14 days from our receipt of the goods for funds to appear.
9. Exchanges (Analyzed Individually)
We do not offer a standard exchange program. All requests for exchanges fall outside of statutory cancellation rights and are analyzed individually at our sole discretion. If you request an exchange, we will evaluate the request based on inventory and item condition. We reserve the right to refuse any exchange request without public justification.
10. Faulty Goods & Warranty Claims
If you claim an item is faulty under the Consumer Rights Act 2022, the case will be analyzed individually.
-
You must provide proof of purchase and clear photographic evidence of the alleged defect.
-
We will inspect the item to determine the cause of the fault. If our inspection concludes the damage is due to fair wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse, or failure to follow care instructions, the claim will be rejected and the item will be sent back to you at your expense.
11. Classes, Workshops & Fixed-Date Bookings (Adults & Minors)
Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive, the 14-day statutory right of withdrawal does not apply to contracts for leisure activities scheduled for a specific date or time.
-
Strictly No Cancellations or Refunds: All bookings for adult and children’s classes, courses, and workshops are final. We do not offer refunds, partial refunds, or account credit for missed classes for any reason, including illness, traffic delays, scheduling conflicts, or personal emergencies.
-
No Rescheduling: We do not allow rescheduling, make-up classes, or deferring your booking to a future date or alternative time slot.
-
Strictly Non-Transferable (Health & Safeguarding): Due to strict health and safety regulations, mandatory liability waivers, and child safeguarding policies, all bookings are strictly non-transferable.
-
The attendee present must exactly match the registered name on the original booking.
-
For children’s classes, emergency contact, allergy, and medical information is tied exclusively to the originally registered child. Under no circumstances can a sibling, friend, or unregistered child take the place of the original participant.
-
If an unregistered person (adult or minor) arrives to attend a class, they will be denied entry immediately for liability reasons, and no refund will be issued to the original purchaser.
-
Any exceptions to this rule are analyzed individually at our sole discretion. Any request for a transfer must be submitted in writing at least 72 hours prior to the class to allow for the processing of new registration and waiver forms. We reserve the absolute right to refuse any transfer request without public justification.
-
12. Provision of Materials & Equipment
Equipment Provided by Project Fashion: Your booking fee covers tuition and access to our studio equipment only. For all classes, camps, workshops, and events, Project Fashion will provide the necessary patterns, sewing machines, sewing machine needles, and specific pressing tools (such as irons and ironing boards).
Materials Strictly Not Included: Project Fashion does not provide fabrics, haberdashery, threads, or any consumable sewing materials. These items are strictly not included in your booking fee. It is a mandatory requirement that you arrive at your session with all the correct materials needed to complete your assigned project.
Optional Material Bundles: For your convenience, Project Fashion makes a complete Material Bundle available for purchase at an additional cost (separate from your booking fee). This bundle contains all the precise fabrics and haberdashery required for your specific project.
Independent Sourcing & Customer Responsibility: You are under no obligation to purchase materials from us. You are completely free to source your materials from any external retailer, or bring items you already own. However, if you choose to source your own materials, you do so entirely at your own risk.
-
You must pay strict attention to the provided list of required materials.
-
Fabric type, weight, and exact measurements are critical to successfully completing the project.
-
Project Fashion accepts no liability, nor will we issue refunds or class credits, if a student is unable to participate fully or complete their project due to arriving without materials, or arriving with incorrect/insufficient materials.
Need Help? If you have any doubts about what to buy, are unsure if your fabric is suitable, or if you cannot find the required materials list, it is your responsibility to reach out to us prior to your class date.
