The volume of the tier is determined by the amount of fabric used. We recommend using tartan, cotton poplin, flannel, woven satin or any non stretch fabric.
The fabrics – and other trims – yardage calculation is estimated as a recommended average consumption. If the student chooses to make their project in a larger scale, long skirt instead of short, please purchase a larger amount of the relevant supplies.
Fabric width: 150 cm:
8-10 Fabric = 1 – 1.5 Metres, Interfacing = 0.5 Metres, Elastic = 1 Metre
10-12 Fabric = 1 – 1.5 Metres, Interfacing = 0.5 Metres, = 1 Metre
12-14 Fabric = 1.5 – 2 Metres, Interfacing = 0.5 Metres, = 1 Metre
