Young designers will explore the possibilities of ‘up-cycling’. They will be coached by real Fashion Designers in creative thinking, re-styling, embellishment, finishing techniques, fashion illustrating and garment construction.

BRIEF: Students will bring in an old shirt belonging to Mum or Dad! They will re-design their shirt into a summer dress and show case it in a ‘Trashion Show‘ on the last day!

During this camp, the students will be educated on the importance of RE-CYCLING versus WASTE. Hopefully it will steer them in the right direction for a greener environment.

It is advisable to have an ‘over-sized’ shirt for this project.

Embellishments will be available at camp, but if the students wanted to go to 2nd hand shops and pick up some buttons or ribbons, embellishments or fabric that might match their shirt, they can be also used in their designs.
