This set of classes is designed to be a stand-alone creative outlet for Adults of all skill levels, to come, have fun and leave with a fully constructed and finished garment. If you have no experience is advisable to do the Introduction to the Sewing machine course before booking this course.
Each student will have access to their own sewing machine during the classes. This course is for anyone who wants to learn a new skill while exercising their creativity! Unleash your inner artist and meet like-minded individuals.
CLASS TOPICS:
Learners will come and explore the process of creating a simple garment from start to finish while picking up some new skills, tips and tricks during the process.
Topics to be covered in class:
Sewing Machine Basics
Basic Pattern and Fabric Cutting
Garment construction
Fastenings & Hemming
Finishing & Accessories
CLASS DURATION:
SATURDAY workshops are 3 hours long over 2 weeks. Choose 9.30am to 12.30pm class OR 1.15pm to 4.15pm
WEDNESDAY workshops are 2 hours long over 3 weeks. 7pm to 9pm
What you will need for class:
Fabric (Available from our ONLINE SHOP)
Thread
Decoration or trims that you would like to apply to your garment
Button or zips (depending on the garment choice)
Bundles will be available from iur ONLINE SHOP.
Mid-range to luxury fabrics will be available to purchase and ready for your on commencement of your chosen course. We have sourced some beautiful fabrics from Japan along with Designer label off-cuts.
