Easter Camp

Irelands Leading Fashion Academy

Here at Project Fashion we are all about Sustainable Fashion and upcycling clothes. This Easter we are embracing DENIMNATION! It is time to raid you wardrobe and refresh your denim’s whether it is a pair of jeans or a denim jacket. You can purchase pieces from second hand shops to keep in with the sustainable fashion theme. Young designers will upcycle their already owned pieces using fabric paints, beads, pearls, fringe, ribbon, fabric etc. The choice is yours.

Learners will hand paint onto their denim pieces using fabric paints which will be supplied at camp. They will draw up designs of how they want their designs to look at then paint it onto their denim, in lovely bright colours. The denim can also be manipulated through cutting, twisting, reshaping and through embellishment. We encourage our learners to think about what they would like to do with their denim prior to the classes.

They will also upcycle their jeans with embellishments or turn them into a funky denim bag. Learners are very welcome to bring their own embellishment’s with them.

In class learners will her the opportunity to make denim accessories, from necklaces to earrings and bracelets.

This camp focuses on the process of Sustainable Fashion and upcycling, guidance will be given from our qualified design team from creative thinking, fashion illustration, sewing machine training and garment construction.

The grand finale! All the learners will be able to proudly showcase their work on the final day in front of their parents and guests in a thrilling fashion show!
